2 killed after tornado strikes Virginia town

Three people were killed when an afternoon tornado tore through a Waverly, a town in southeastern Virginia, the local CBS affiliate reported, citing state police. Though the identities of those killed have not been released, officials said the deceased were a 2-year-old boy, 50-year-old man and a 26-year-old man. The National Weather Service had issued a tornado warning for the area, and weather radars indicated a twister did indeed touch down.
